DON Magazine Drag Queen Photoshoot!
Haus of Kinki and our fabulous friends were beyond thrilled when DON Magazine's very own Mike Dinsmore extended a special invitation. This incredible collaboration is set to feature in the upcoming Fall edition of DON Magazine, aptly titled "No Filter."
Haus of Kinki`s Nikuman.co set off on a memorable adventure to the heart of Sakai, Osaka, where Dinsmore's enchanting photography studio awaited. Nikuman.co fearlessly embraced every stage of her mesmerizing drag monster queen metamorphosis, capturing the essence of her journey through Dinsmore's artistic lens. It was a true reunion for Nikuman.co, who had previously graced the pages of DON Magazine's "Scales” issue with her remarkable recording, `Weights`. Dinsmore's calming aura and relaxing studio was infectious, which allowed Nikuman.co to become truly vulnerable and take Dinsmore`s direction - she loved it!
This captivating photoshoot wasn't just about striking poses – it was about revealing the authentic vulnerability that makes us human. The atmosphere was electric as we delved into the world of renowned artists such as Robert Mapplethorpe, Robert Delaunay, and Georgia O'Keefe which only added to the magic of the five-hour session. Time flew by as we basked in the glow of creativity.
But the excitement doesn't stop there! Stay tuned for the upcoming weeks as we eagerly await the inclusion of Haus of Kinki regular Osaka's up for anything drag queen, Madam Aika, and the incredible talent of Jalizco Kaizer, the offspring of Iwakuni's Caina Kaizer.
